Day 7 started with a morning flight to Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. We experienced a fascinating portrayal of Aboriginal culture at the renowned Tjapukai Dance Theatre: a moving musical comedy which tells of a dream-like legend, through traditional Aboriginal dance and music. After our visit we returned to Cairns by the Kuranda rail – a scenic ride on a restored, historical mountain railway.
